UBC (University of British Columbia) has various diplomas focusing on certain areas of education. I just discovered that they have one for TESL. There are so many choices for programs out there. Ah! Has anyone heard anything about this program or experienced it personally?
Now, to complicate things even further (and this is mostly for Canadians), the UBC Diploma program doesn't seem to be approved by TESL Canada. How important is it to take a program that is approved by TESL Canada? |

It is important if you want to work for private ESL schools in Canada that happen to affilliate themselves with TESL CAnada. Call around to a few different schools to find out their professional affiliations. |

Check to make sure how theoretical and practical the diploma is. I am pretty certain the VCC diploma you are looking at is very practical. |
