There's a thread over in the Korea section of Dave's, listing the best love hotels in Korea (ie. why pay $200 for a "real" hotel when you can pay less than $70 for a luxury room in a love hotel: jacuzzi, home theatre with projection screen, etc.?) I've actually stayed in some of them, and they're pretty good value for your money even if you're not there to give the bed a workout.
Are there any good ones in Tokyo? Or are the prices not a bargain compared to the business hotels? I can always stay at the Kimi in Ikebukero again, but I hate having to camp out in order to have a bath. The capsule hotel near Sunshine City is cheap, but there's no privacy.
Anywhere with a decent compromise between price and amenities?

It's the same in Tokyo. I haven't used the bargain for myself but have always thought that for the price of a cramped business hotel, a night in a much more spacious love hotel would actually turn out cheaper.
Funny thing, though, most establishments won't let singles or families check-in nor will they allow a group of girls/boys looking to find a bargain. These hotels seem adamant to live up to their name and want to keep those beds a-rockin'. |

Tokyo isnt my bag but I had quite a time finding a cheap one in Numba/Umeda in Osaka, cheapest me and my "friend" could find was 6000yen...
...this isnt bad compared to a full fledged hotel mind you my hopes were set for 3500-4000yen and to no avail. |
