I drove through Tampico last July and was less than impressed. I had planned to stay the night there and maybe visit the beach for a little while. While I saw signs for the beach, I never did see the beach. I am sure it was near-by though.
Tampico is flat and hot. It seemed a bit industrial for my liking. It was a little bit dirtier than other places I have seen in Mexico. |
