|
|
Hi,
My wife and I are considering a move to Hong Kong in the middle of next year. Please could you advise me on the probable cost of a basic, no luxury two bedroomed apartment to rent? (we are also considering a few other places)
Many thanks,
Tim |

The housing market has been getting stronger, but the recent interest rate rises may have an effect. Rents have been going up, but may now stabilise or fall. By the time you come next year anything could have happened.
In HK, as everywhere, rents vary wildly depending on location. You can get a luxury appartment in some areas for a lot less than a basic flat in others. So to be honest the figure could be as low as 5,000 HK up to 20.000 HK. If you mention what areas you are looking at we could be more helpful. I guess as a comparison, HK could be said to be a little like London in pricing. |
