Flew in yesterday, stamped the fist day on my 60 day visa, and now I have a little room near a MRT station with internet access. Got a cell number. Going to iron my shirts and get ready for the job search to come.
I'd like some general liveability suggestions (or links) about the city -- perhaps your "Top 5 things to know about Taipei".
Here are a few questions off the top of my head, more to give you an idea of what I mean rather than to supply you with a form to fill out: Where do folks my age drink beer (25)? Is there a single place I can get at a bunch of the day to day things I'd care to have (clothes that fit, spaghetti sauce, bathroom floor cleaner, whatever)? Any good places to eat cheaply aside from streetside noodles and mall foodcourts? Any neighborhoods that are crap for living/working in? Any that I won't be able to afford? |
