Which part of the Ramblas did you do? I know that the spots for the painters at the bottom half got taken over by the Russian and Ukranian mafia and there were some nasty turf wars. I would have thought that the top part by "Les Rambles de les Flors" would have avoided the nastiness, but more details would be welcome. |

I was mostly in the middle of the ramblas, near calle Carme. A green elf with long pointy ears, and a whistly voice. Good training for teaching.

Justin, why don't you create an e-mail response template for the most poorly written job applications? In your response, you could say something like the following:
Dear XYZ,
We have received your application for the post at our school. Unfortunately, your cover message contains errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation and capitalization. Although these mishaps could very well result from haste and anxiety, we must nevertheless place your application in the "Rejected" pile.
We suggest that you make sure your next job application has fewer errors. An application for employment as an English-language teacher requires that you exhibit the skills that you will be expected to demonstrate in the classroom.

Applicants receiving your response will then have the opportunity to:
a. Correct their errors before sending another application for a different position
b. Ignore your advice and continue being rejected at other schools
c. Write you an abusive e-mail, which you can then correct---thereby creating a potentially endless loop! |

Perhaps, in the spirit of niceness, I could suggest that I would consider their app if it came back better spelled. 
Or I could just get my jollies by constantly returning them...

| Some schools can talk though. I see on TEFL.com today IH in Vietnam is advertising for an 'Enflish' teacher. Buried in the text fair do, but this is in the heading! |
