Hello to All!
I have several questions about applying for residency. I am from the states and my wife is from Argentina. We were married several months ago and we are now living in Belize, where I have lived for six years. I would to get your advice on the following questions:
Can we relocate to Argentina and then begin my application for residency? We would like to come in August.
While I am in the country with a tourist visa, what do I do after ninety days? Do I leave the country and then come back in or can I renew my visa?
What documents should I obtain before arriving in Argentina?
Thanks for your responses!

All your questions answered. Short answer-you can do all the tramites here. PM marcethebest as well as she said she went through exactly the same stuff in the same position.
Good luck. |

How easy is it to apply for residency from the US? Can someone apply on the basis of a job offer (teacher) in Argentina?

umm...no.
I think youll be doing good if you can get a work visa based on a teacher job. I may be wrong here as it isnt a subject Ive researched thoroughly, but it is my strong impression that this is the case. If you get a work visa, especially being from the US and teaching English, things have worked out well... |

Did some more research and yup, almost impossible to get residency. So I guess Ill do what Ive been told to start off anyawy, get to Buenos Aires, cross over to Uruguay to get the passport stamped, back again to Buenos Aires and that's that. Unless of course I decide to get married which really is not part of the plan! |
