Enclosed is another e-mail that I have received.
The number of teachers that are very angry as to how they were
treated (in the last 9 months) is now 11.
This is one BAD company

Hi There,

Its interesting to know, My wife and I used to be with them..we got
done in also.
the owner who claims to be an American lawyer is a phoney,
we checked up on her in the states and we were told she has nothing to
do with the firm in Alabama,,
apperantly she claims that she is a partner and that she runs the
branch here.. The two Canadian couple, we know of very well short time
Chiner experts, no idea of management, They used to be in Shenyang..
I'm glad the truth has surfaced.
i could tell you more..

If you would like further details about My English World Club

Please note this company has changed its name in some of its ads to English World Club. The bad Canadian management is still there.
BEWARE.

I see that this company is advertising again.
I guess they must have fired some more teachers.
At least 11 have gone in 8 months.
They still owe me 7000 RMB and owe money to other teachers.
I have a report written by 8 teachers that was given to the mayor of Tongliao. Plesae contact me by pm.
I met two of the present teachers (still working for them)
They told me that they were not getting the holidays, promised.
This company tells so many lies I am not suprised.
The two teachers appeared unhappy and frightened.
I must say I felt really sorry for them.
Please beleive me when I tell you that this is one bad company.

Let me just reply on behalf of the teachers that went back to Canada, and others.
The management offered them a fraction of what they were OWED and contracted to get. 3 teachers one from the Philippines and two from Canada saw this offer (quite rightly) as an INSULT.
Myself and two teachers from USA were offered nothing - just cheated.
Two teachers from New Zealand were also short changed. and sacked for no reason. Two other teachers e-maioled me (above) they have their own story. One day yearof the dog you will have your story.
You may try and make out that I was the problem but there are 11 unhappy teachers I am just one.
Anyone wishing the report written in Chinese and English and sent to all the Embassies involved please contact me by pm.
As for moving on - I will move on when I get paid the 7000 Rmb that I am owed.

I am curious about something gulam2.

In an earlier post about EF Yuyao you mentioned that there were 10 other dissatisfied teachers that had left that school but failed to make a report about problems at that school.

Now, it seems that you are suggesting that there were 11 dissatisfied teachers at My English World Club, and that none of these has chosen to make a complaint either.

Am I correct in my understanding that there are more than twenty dissatisfied teachers among the two schools that you worked for, but that you are the only one from both of those schools to raise the issue? I am a bit confused.

I would be interested in seeing the report that you mention so please feel free to PM it to me.

I never said anything about 10 disatisfied teachers at EF Yuyao.
(as always you have twisted what I wrote)
This was not the case as there were only two teachers there.
Myself and a young English boy - Whom they told "you can work 2-9 pm 7 days and we will count the mornings as your days off"
Yes, now Clark, you do like to cause confusion, but I do not lie.
I have a copy of a report written and signed by 8 teachers from My English World Club. This report is in two languages Chinese and English.
I am happy to send this report to anyone. (except if you are in Tongliao then you can pick up a copy from the Mayor's office)
You can say I am a whiner and complainer - which to some extent I am,
but I do not lie.
I think people who try and prevent warnings about schools need to think about their own morality and ethics.

It is just not the fact that the pay was late every month, It was not the fact that the manager..a Canadian I am sorry to say is a moron...no it is not the fact that they make you live in a Hotel for months...no...it can't be all that that makes the school a Son of a Gun to work for. It is the fact that Mr. Manager refuses to take the blame for anything and won't stand up for the teachers. It is abou the fact that he FORGED a teachers signature on a pay slip and then swore to the GODS that she got paid when she didn't.

Like come on, what kind of man would do that. Would you work for someone who would openly forge and lie.

And don't get me started with his ridiculus wife....She just doesn't make Canadians look bad, she make humans look bad..

The company is bankrupt. they have lost 9 teachers in the past 2 months. 5 have been fired and 4 have quit...

SO PLEASE COME TO INNER MONGOLIA WHERE YOU CAN GET MESSED WITH IN THE DESERT>|!

Thank you for clarifying that gulam2. I am no longer confused.

I was referring to the following quote which you made in the EF thread when you were making your complaint about an EF school:

gulam2 wrote:
I know of 10 teachers who have been treated badly but yet not one of them has complained on the internet about the school where they worked.

In this quote you did not state that the 10 teachers were at the EF school and that was obviously a misinterpretation on my behalf. In reading it at the time it did read like you were referring to EF, but now that I re-read it I can see that it doesnt specifically refer to EF, it was just contained within your post about EF.

gulam2 wrote:

Well that obviously doesnt apply to me. My posts over the last several years have always encouraged teachers to tell their stories and post their experiences. I am also involved with a site that is largely based around this very subject and hosts upwards of 2,000 comments about schools. In order for these comments to be effective however they need to be informative, accurate, honest, and specific. Unfortunately many of your posts lack this kind of integrity.

I find the rest of your post quite interesting.

You make reference to a post made on ESL junction about the school My English World Club, and you seem to make reference to this other post as being confirmation about your own experiences at the school. Fair enough.

You actually state in your post that you do not know the person who made that post on ESL junction. Fair enough.

The thing that I find interesting is that at the bottom of the post that you quote, the author makes mention about teaching in Inner Mongolia. I assume that this person took a job in Inner Mongolia after leaving My English World Club.

The interesting thing is that I noticed that in one of your posts over here at Daves, that you yourself have also recommended Inner Mongolia as being a good place to work.

I work at a private school. And (very rare) it is legal.
Relatively good conditions and management.
Students are tough and the parents are tougher.
Class sizes - many of them around 35-40.
This school is always looking for teachers.
I AM NOT A RECRUITER (almost a swear word in my book).
But if you are interested send me your resume by pm and I will pass it on.
This is Inner Mongolia in PR China

So either there are two separate teachers who really dont know each other, but who both had problems at My English World Club, and are both happily working in Inner Mongolia now. Or you have been telling us all porkies gulam2, and trying to beat up the charges against this school to add credibility to your claims!

I note the comparisons in the writing styles used, the content of the posts, the dates that the posts were made, and the fact that you both haunt the same message boards, but neither of you are present on other relevant boards. What are the chances?

Well I never accused you of being a whiner, but unless there is a good reason for the above then it seems that you could be guilty of the lieing.

As always, Clark, you are misquoting me.
But that is your style. Buxiban readers beware.
As you use this method only, to contribute to the threads it is totally pointless replying. You play at word games - of no value.

For other readers though, I have now spent nearly two years in Inner Mongolia and love the place and have hundreds of friends both in Baotou and in Tongliao (also some in Chifeng).
Just because I say " DO NOT WORK" for
EF
or
MY ENGLISH ClUB
Does not mean I think you should not work in Inner Mongolia.
Clark as usual did not read the threads carefully.

I read threads carefully, and this is why I asked you the question in the first place. For clarification.

So are you stating that all of the things I pointed out are all coincidences? It would be good to get a direct answer on that, but I am skeptical that one will be offered.

gulam2 wrote:

Yes, we are as thorough as we can be. It is the only way to ensure that the information on our site is as accurate as can be and this is what the users of the site want. We are interested in all comments about schools, and would like to add a comment about this school, but we want to ensure that the comment is a valid one.

You previously submitted the complaint to our site, and as you are aware we haven't as yet uploaded that comment to our site as it was lacking in information. My request to you for further information was ignored by you. Now, I am just doing some research on that complaint to try to determine it's validity for inclusion on our site.

What word games? It is a simple question - Are you stating that you and the person who made that post are different people and that the similarities are just a coincidence? I noticed the commonalities of those posts and want to confirm that it is in fact two seperate people and not just one person trying to create a majority. I note that you have avoided stating that the two posts were not made by you, so if they weren't then why not state this?
