Oh my God it worked. See I swear all I did was click the quote icon/buttton like I have always been doing. It is tempremental.

Which quote button are you referring to? the one on the right hand side of everyone's posts or the one on 'post a reply' which appears between underline and code?

The one on the right hand side quotes the whole of someone's post. If you want to quote individual lines then you need to use the other one. Anyway it is Saturday night and I am off to the pub.
