Unlike others 31 has been here for a while. I don't know if he's still here now or not. He knows what he's talking about, but he's only giving half of the story. If I was to wright a list of all that is wrong with melbourne it only tell half the story.

So how about 31 we all know the problems of the city,
what do you like Exclamation about the place and while we!re at it your job.

Btw if as you claim you did work at E.T then from what you have said befor I think you did some time at Goztepe. If you did, I either meet you or ran into you. Am I right.

No I never claimed that I DID work there. I claim I DO work there. I know the Goztepe area well as I used to live nearby.
As I don`t know who you are, I can`t say whether I have ever met you.

Your last sentence sums up exactly how I feel about the UK now. As my mum frequently tells me, you can't even fart thesedays without Blair taxing you for it.

I read somewhere that research done with migrant workers in America found that they inevitably became stuck in the time they left their home countries. (it was expressed better but this is the best I can do)

Does anyone else feel like this? I think this is often the problem with ex-pats. My view of the UK is still recession, high unemployment and being skint.

I graduated from university with little real job prospects and a strong desire to leave the UK because I thought the grass was greener on the other side. I had done some EFL summer work and was able to avoid going on the social and get casual manual work to get enough money together to do the CTEFLA.

That's our generation 31. When we graduated there were precious few jobs in the early 90s

I agree with you migrants do fall into time trap. Just look a the Turks who went over to the U.K, OZ, or Germany they still think of Turkey from the 70's and 80's view point.

Your comment brings to mind a question, you said that your view of the U.K was still recession ....... anyway you know things have changed, Your not married right so why can't you go back.
