I have been trying to find a link that is just a simple table of each verb tense and what percentage of use it is. This is the best I can come up with.
http://bible.ovc.edu/terry/dissertation/u-5_5-influence.htm
Not very good is it?
Can anyone help?
(No comments about there are only 2 verb tenses in English) |

Actually, I commented on the another thread about recording actual conversations between fluent speakers. I'm planning on doing a few of them on different subjects / situations, then getting my advanced classes to analysis them to check such things.
Other than that, it must of course have so many varients, 'Situation' 'Personality' 'Upbringing' 'Topic' 'Dogs' |

I did this once and had to write out the conversations phonetically and mark intonation patterns. It was sooooo boring and pointless... I think |

It's not nasty, just boring. Has anyone successfully used phonetics in their teaching. Maybe the shwa but nothing else. |
