^ Good tip by dmb regarding avatars. Follow the advice in that thread and you'll be fine.
I can see by right-clicking properties on your x that you're trying to upload a photo
from your computer; that won't work.
Avatars must be hotlinked.
Now - once you get an avatar up and running, you might want
to post a pic inside the body of your post (as I've done below).
Here's how to do that:
On the tool bar at the top of the posting page,
you'll see a button labeled Img.
If you click on that once, you'll see this: [img]
If you click on it again, you'll see this: [/img]
Basically, you just 'sandwich' the photo URL between
the and hit Submit.
Please note that the [img] MUST be at the beginning of the URL,
and the [/img] must be at the end of the URL.
If you mix up that order, it won't work.
When you're finished, it will look something like this:

(with no spaces in the above URL ^)
Don't be afraid to play around with it.
It took me a week of and some help from a member to figure it out!

I live and teach on this island off the southeast coast of the Korean peninsula.
Hey! The linking method works! I've learned something new today. Thanks. |
