OK- I see all the posts about how to get your bags from KIX to your home, but how do I get my bags FROM my home in Japan TO KIX? I really don't want to navigate 150 pounds of luggage around the subway system. And I fear I won't be able to catch a cab at 6am in my neighborhood the day I need to head to the airport.
I read about the Airport Takkyubin, but I can't find any info on who to call or how to get my luggage picked up. I went to the website of the black cat logo place, but the English site only provides company info, not info about how to obtain their services.
Help, please! THANKS!!
PS- I don't speak Japanese (not enough to take care of this anyway!) so I need something very English-friendly. |

Melirae, try Yasaka taxi service, I have been picked up twice in Kyoto and shuttled to the airport in a small mini-bus van. You have to ring up and make a reservation but they will come your door and take you straight to the airport. From Kyoto I paid about 3,000 yen one-way to KIX.
No idea if they have English speakers, probably not.
PS I checked and thats Kyoto only
many limousine buses run from the hotels in Osaka to the airport so the best idea is find out where the buses leave from.

I'm sure it would be the same or cheaper for me, as I live fairly close to Namba. No matter the cost, the ease of travel with my bags would be totally worth it! You got the number? Because I would have no idea where to get it. Maybe I could have a Japanese speaking friend make the reservation for me.... |

Yasaka Taxi Shuttle. Even if it means spending a night in Kyoto it may be worth it.

It would be less hassle to get my bags to Namba than to Kyoto, but thanks for the link! I will check it out. If anyone knows about the Airport Takkyubin I would be interested in that as well. |

Get to OCAT, and take a bus from OCAT directly to the airport. Bus from Namba is around 850 yen or so. |

The last time I was here and leaving, I sent all my luggage on ahead and took myself to KIX on the train and with only hand baggage to carry. It was so much handier. The last thing you want to worry about as you are leaving is how to negotiate all that luggage around Osaka.
Pasco are pretty good but there are three delivery services available to and from KIX. You have to call them a week to 3 days before you fly to make an appointment and this probably has to be done in Japanese but surely a friend or your employer can help with that. It would save you so much hassle. The bags are picked up and taken to the airport; you claim them when you get there (give yourself a bit of extra time before check-in).
Telephone numbers for all three companies are here:
