Yes, and I hate that thing. It makes me feel guilty, like I not only made an error, but a critical one at that. Plus it tricks you into double-posting. Or triple posting. Oh whatever. |

no need to get worked up 31.
i try to eat all organic by the way, including eggs. i'm a whole foods junkie.
thanks for the explanations, i'll keep them in the fridge since i doubt that the egg board would be biased about food safety! |

You must be joking about the ''boards'' being biased about food safety. They have one mission and one only-to sell eggs, lard, milk etc. The milk marketing boards in America, Uk etc. did a fantastic job in the post war period convincing hundreds of millions of people that drinking milk was vital to health. The potato marketing board in the UK now wants to ban the term ''couch potato'' because it harms the potato`s image. |

No I haven`t but I have read a number of books such as fast food nation which are terrifying reading. If you get a chance to read ''fast food nation'' it will put you off fast food for life. When you realise what buying fast food does to you, agriculture, food safety, unions, health and safety at work, economy, taxes, environment etc. it will apall you.
Take the RDA (recommended daily allowance) where a govt agency advises you on how much vitamin c for example you should consume in a day. During the 1980s in the UK new research showed that the rdas for vitamin c in particular were way too low. If you consume the rda of vitamin c you will just avoid getting scurvy but that is it. The Thatcher govt refused to change the rdas because then it would be impossible for people on benefits (welfare) to afford decent enough food to satisfy the new rdas. Of course they buried the new research and nothing has changed. So if you think you are getting the rdas of vitamins think again. |

I just meant that I don`t believe the egg board or any other board when they talk about food safety. Whatever they say on their website or in their brochures is just lies to get us to buy more.
The UK started this eat 5 portions of fruit and veg a day-great but Heinz baked beans now advertise their beans as being one portion of fruit and veg. Another example of the food industry`s lies. Do you think a portion of baked beans is really what is meant by a portion of fruit and veg? ] |

like everything, there is no harm in eating things in small doses. so a couple of big macs a month isn't going to kill you |
