Between Hanoi and HCMC, which city provides more working opportunities for ESL teachers?

Difficult choice as it seems a lot of people like one or the other - a lot of Hanoi expats prefer it to Saigon and vice-versa. Best way if you had the chance would be to have a little tour for a couple of weeks as a tourist and see which city you ger a better 'feel' for. Trend tends to be the first of the two that you arrive in. Maybe you should arrive in Danang and see which direction you feel pulled towards!

Saigon: warm or hot all year round, friendly, better nightlife, more work
Hanoi: four seasons, actually not that attractive but has lakes and greenery whereas Saigon is a concrete jungle. More conservative, people less friendly, government is more in your face.
I've lived and worked in both cities and although I much prefer Saigon, some people do love living in Hanoi
