Hi there,
Pretty much as the title suggests really...just wondering if I am likely - as someone neither particularly guilty nor angelic looking to have hours of rooting through my bags upon arrival in the delightful 'oil field masquerading as a country' that is q8?
Are all DVDs and books confiscated?
And are there any anomalous things that I may not bring in i.e. I am referring to that rather unfortunate British woman on codeine (I think) who was arrested in Dubai?
Much obliged.... |

Did you try searching this one? It has been discussed not all that long ago. You really only hear about videos, but they may have figured out that DVDs are the same thing. I have never had anything confiscated. I know people that have had videos taken, but always returned eventually.
My incoming luggage has never been opened, though some places in the Gulf have x-rays at customs and scan it. The obvious answer is don't bring in anything illegal, like drugs or porn... If you are on any prescription narcotics (??), bring your script to avoid this woman's problem.
