From my understanding though you definetly have to make sure that you do all the workbook activities because parents look at it.

Sounds like you got hired. Grats Smile

If you did and you are coming to Kyoto or Osaka lets meet. We won't drink, won't be with the "cool hip in teachers" and won't be with "the man". If you like cold dead sea creatures I know a kick ass kaitenzushi place, too!

Sounds like fun to me! (Then again any excuse to eat sushi is a good excuse to me...)

I'm interested to hear what ECC suggested that you do for health insurance in the orientation in Canada. They resently changed the web site and said that all teachers have to enroll in Japanese National Health Insurance. Is this true?

whats kaitenzushi ? I hate 90 percent of Japanese food. I regularly amuse my japanese friends by teaching them new words to decribe their food ..,
...everything from gross to disgusting. I also teach them new horrified faces.

I can eat sashimi. sometimes. No multilegged critters. no eel. no centepedes, nothing with eyes showing, nothing that involves putting an entire animal in my mouth(mussels, etc...)

I am coming to osaka for training. But how do I know you arent an axe murder? Wink

It's the delicate art of Kancho, though!
Are they doing it to you or to each other? They don't really touch girls! I've witness my kids doing it.. then I just glare at them and they stop!

I prefer Ftls to Kew, so Have fun!

As for the National Health Plan. If this is true, that BLOWS!! I just paid for some international health plan when I started.. grr

I can tell. From your FTL stamp to the 376 stickers you put on each person's passport you make it quite clear that you love FTLs ^_^

I think your 'fuzzy bee' stickers are the best, though. Where did you get em? I didn't see them in Loft :(

Over 300 dif stickers given to adult students to mark completion of lessons would seem to be worth discussion with a therapist. Wink

Have you ever met a Japanese person who didn't like stickers? Also, I think it's good to have teachers who have unique persionalities. How exciting would class be for you if all your teachers wanted to sleep with you, hated you and their job, or were as interesting as watching paint dry? ;)

Oh, and it's more like four or five per passport. It's nice, show's she cares, and people like it. It's win win.
