Do you think Turkish people are generally more political? I ask this because of my wife's latest doings. She helped found a local Turkish society here in the UK; within two weeks, there were two separate splinter groups, all arguing with each other as to who was the real Turkish Society. Likewise, there is a national Turkish Society, arguing the odds with the national Turkish Federation.
It's all rather fun.

Definitely more than Americans. Turks remind me of what Americans seemed to be like around 1910-1930, at least from what I've read.

But I think Americans are special for how little people generally care about the nuances of politics...

there's a rumour that the entire population of Turkey will be running for leader of the Conservative party... Laughing
