Hi Guys
I was supposed to take the Celta with IH Krakow in August and I can't make it now. Just posting this to see if anyone is interested in taking my place. Also can anyone tell me how hard is it to find work in the new year once the academic year starts in October?

Cheers!!
Kev

IH Krakow should have no problem filling the spaces on that course! August courses are the most popular of the year.

It is possible to find a job after the peak hiring season but not easy. Especially if you want a fulltime job with one school. Those are hard to find after the peak hiring season. In September you'll have schools chasing you desperate for you to sign with them. In November it's the other way round.

Hi Alex!!
Thanks for the info, I'm going take the course at the end of November. Just thought I'd check and see if anyone was interested. As for finding work in the new year I'm really only looking for a part-time job, 15 or so hours a week would be loads. Just need a 2nd income so to speak.
Whats your opinion on the Callan school in Krakow? I've heard they're one of the busiest schools in Krakow.Any idea what the pay?
I've read a lot of critical posts about the method they use. Would I be right in assuming there would be considerably less prep-time for one of their lessons than a standard English lesson.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not lazy or looking for an easy ride but I'll have other bussiness to take care of outside of English teaching and I was wondering would this suit me for a couple of months.

Cheers...
Kev

Callan teaches outdated English and bores everyone in the room. If you only want about 15 hours per week you can probably tolerate it. I've never heard of anyone enjoying their job when teaching with this method. Most people do it for the money and because it doesn't require much planning. I hear that at the end of the day you feel exhausted and burned out because of the robotic conversations.

For a short period of time and only to earn some extra cash it could be alright.

I understand that I will need to leave Poland and return to the US to get the legal permits. I also know that the school year starts in October and that many employers will "work with me" until the visas and work permits are straightened out.
