Hopefully, some of you ex-China hands might be able to answer this query.

I know that an ATM card issued by a PRC bank can be used to withdraw money from ATMs in HK - provided that the card has the vertical red/blue/green logo on the bottom right hand side. But what's the situation with the Bank of China, in Bangkok ? Have any of you good people managed to withdraw Thai Baht from ATMs at that branch, by using your PRC-issued ATM card ?

Is that three bars thing the only system your PRC card works with? The card I got from the bank in Thailand is both Master Card and Cirrus affiliated -- look for any other logos on the back of your card.

I got rid of my PRC card before I came to Thailand -- sorry that I can't help you out on that one.
