OK, I'm confused; still shopping around for a summer jail-term/English camp and I received a contract from these folks. Is the above the former name for Shanghai International Studies U.? Is there a "Shanghai Foreign Language University" I'm not aware of? This seems to be a huge, hydra-headed program with multiple start dates. Any past experiences to share? One or two-word warnings also kindly accepted.

I'm gonna jump on the bandwagon here too and ask if anyone knows of any decent summer camps (as in half decent pay at least!) that start no earlier than say 18-19 July (cannot possibly go earlier, have exams!) and/ or finish no later than 21 August. But I only want to do up to 3 weeks- I need a break as well!

For what it's worth many language schools in cities across China will have summer camp. If you know of any language schools in your city then just walk in and ask around. That is, unless people want to have a working holiday in another city. Also, many public schools hold joint-venture summer camps with private companies (not necessarily language schools).

Thanks TW, it's impossible to look where I am (8 hour bus ride to ANYWHERE from my town Sad - I've been keeping my eye on Dave's and the ESL teachers board, not sure of any other good sites though. And so far the pay being offered at various camps is crap, but I did apply to 2 schools with good pay- and haven't heard from them since Confused
