Hi,
I just completed the oxford seminars TESL course and want to go teach in Japan, but the problem is I'm graduating in october and can only get a letter confirming that I've met the requirements of my undergrad, which based on what I've read won't get me a work visa (unless I'm mistaken?) So I was wondering whether getting a working holiday visa to get into japan and start teaching until october when I can apply for an actual work visa sounds plausible. I meet all the requirements for the WHV. Would there be any problems with doing this? What do I tell them when I'm applying for the WHV?
The reason I want to leave asap is because I'd have to move back home until october in order to avoid signing a new lease. I don't want to move back home.
I think I included all the information...if anyone could offer some advice I'd appreciate it. Thanks! |

This will be no problem. I came on a working holiday and changed it one month after I arrived to a work visa. I only have a college diploma and they gave me a work visa no problem. Don't worry you will be fine! |

A letter stating you have the requirements is good enough for the work visa. I obtained my visa in april and didnt graduate until may. |
