I am wondering if it would be tolerable to live here during the summer in an apartment without an airconditioner.
Where I am from (Oklahoma) it is often humid and hot during the summer and it would suck to not have an air conditioner .. but I'm not sure if all apartments here have the giant windows or what.
It seems apartments with air conditioners are so much more expensive.
Let me know .. |

If you can afford it, get it. It can get pretty miserable and unbearably hot, especially when trying to sleep at night. You can leave your windows open all day and it's perfectly bearable but the mozzies come out to play at dusk and you'll get bitten to fuk if you give them the chance by leaving the windows open at night. |

Hey Matt, Carlos, and any of the other guys from the UK,
I want to express my condolences about the bombing yesterday...what a terrible tragedy. My regards.

same here. i am soooo sorry about what happened. and so angry that people decided to take out their frustrations on innocent people that have nothing to do with any of it...
matt - is that your chilena??? you two make a very cute couple
as far as air conditioning, it depends on what you can take. i spent one summer in baltimore without a/c and it was around 90 degrees and high humidity everyday. i made it through ok, but it wasn't great. the summer here is similar, hot and humid. you can do it, but... |

Most houses/apts in Argentina do not have central airconditioning like we have in the US. Where I stayed in Argentina is was very common for only the bedrooms to have air and for everyone to sleep in the airconditioned room when it got hot.... they all just pulled their mattresses in the room.
So, if possible I would advice to get air in your bedroom and besides that you really do not need it. |
