i'm interviewing for a full-time post in south east england. it's a private day school which also offers efl courses year round.

googling shows me that i could share a flat for 2-300 a month, and i'm living in the midlands now so i have an idea of what other expenses will be like.

what sort of salaries are reasonable? not to sound mercenary, but i'm qualified, experienced, and have about �300/mth in debt payments to make.

i went. thankfully, i went yesterday.

for a full-time, 20-30 hours of classroom time, with full room and board, and me having celta, ma-tesl, and 7 yrs experience, they figured 20-21K would be the offer, assuming they liked me more than everyone else.

does this sound on?

unfortunately, i need a job where i can have my cat with me. laugh, but that's how it is.

Sounds a bit too cheap for my liking. but is does have rrom and board but this could mean you have extra responsibilities you do not know about yet just because you are there... oh could you....

call me a sucker, but i took it. they were pretty upfront about the accomadation; live in a teacher's house, allowed to bring my cat (deciding factor), full room/board, required to be in dorms 2 evenings (not nights) a wk and one wkend in 4.

now, off to fix my visa.
