Hi folks,

I was wondering if any of you knew about universities in Venezuela... to study in, though, not to teach. I found out about ten universities: U. Simon Bolivar, U. de Los Andes, U. Central de Venezuela, U. Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado, U. del Zulia, U. de Carabobo, U. Catolica Andres Bello, U. Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho, U. Nacional Experimental Politecnica Antonio Jose de Sucre, U. Nueva Esparta.

How do these universities compare with other Latin American universities, in terms of the education they give, the reputation they have, etc.?

Univ. de los Andes in Merida has a good reputation.

Universidad Central de Venezuela in Caracas is big, but there are some good political science and history folks there.
