I tend to rant on to students about how the Scots are nation of great inventors. We invented the tv, telephone, tyre, raincoat, penicillin, falan. Students always tell me that some Turk invented them first and the idea was stolen.

You invented the washing machine---we made ayran with old washing machines
You invented microwave oven------we dried our socks in it.

I am not attacking you. I have noticed from my time at a level 1 private uni that attack seems to have a slightly different translation in Turkish. As far as I know attack sounds really strong, perhaps it has a different connotation in Turkish.
