No doubt you didn`t read his posts before he deleted them. He admitted that they were abusive. That was the FIRST time I have ever used salak on this forum. It was a lot milder than the abuse he gave me. Check with the moderator.
He can post all he likes. I never told him to stop. He has stopped because he is upset, embarassed and realises he overstepped the mark.
HIS country? Not true. I am a Turkish citizen and this is my country too. I have spent all week listening to the Pakistani born Britons referring quite correctly to Britain as our home and telling us what we should do. No difference. There are more than 100,000 Turks living and working in the UK. I am not going to be treated any different.
He pays taxes just like me. He has done his military service. So what. You know the system. The middle classes get an easy ride and the poor do the real soldiering. No doubt he took full advantage of all the system offers.
I can`t just pack up and go. Read golightly`s posts. BTW Entrailicus called me a fucking idiot today but you never said a word.
I too will post what I like in keeping with the forum rules.
How about not commenting if you haven`t been able to read the previous posts? |

Fair enough if he had a go at you or if Entrailicus called you what ever he did, then your right to want to have go at them.
You have to know that you do bring it on your self. After all mate your not drip dry or clean as snow. If you go around attacking people, then everyone is going to think your fair game.
Perhapes if you cooled off others would too.
As for being a citizen, so am I. So what, that not the same as being a Turk, you know that.
I don't know what ethnic background you have. I guss your W.A.S.P, Celt or some other northen Euro stock. Your never going to be called a wog. Your never going to be stopped at the boared by a cop because of the way you look or religion. The fact is we have the best of both worlds we can live here as Turks get the respect that Turks show to us, and then take our other passport and go back to being who ever we are, where ever we want to go.
So yea your a citizen but your not a Turk. God help our kids work out who they are. |

A Turkish citizen legally has the same rights and priveleges wherever he or she was born and whoever his or her parents are. But of course in reality a naturalised Turkish citizen is not treated the same as a real Turk. But we are just as much Turks as those Turks with German nationality are Germans. How the media complain about Turks in Germany not always being treated equally but don`t care about it when it happens in Turkey. Turkish Cypriots without Turkish nationality are treated equally though.
Living way on the outskirts of Ist I am often called Rus or Roman. Best of both worlds, not for me it isn`t. Never a real teacher, never a real Turk and you are always treated like you are just off the plane.
According to you are naturalised Australian not real Australians because they and or their parents weren`t born there? |

I'm not Turkish, not married to a Turk, not a naturalized Turk. At the same time, although I was born in Canada, I feel the only Canadian thing about me anymore is my passport. I am yabanci everywhere. I am comfortable with that-- in fact I enjoy it. But I also know that I can feel that way partly because I am an educated mature Euro (as opposed to Lira ) woman. |
