Signor,

It all depends on which kind of pets you have.........

The Czech Republic is extremely dog friendly, so much so that I can't take my pet pooch out for a walk without being accosted by some doe eyed female wanting a little stoke (of the dog that is more's the pity).

You'll find that most people, including landlords like dogs and more importantly they'll be willing to rent you a place.

However you could end up in some multi-storey panalak, not somewhere to leave a dog who's going to howl all day and p*ss the neighbours off.

In terms of quarantine the 6 months can be done here as long as you've had your pet chipped, wormed and vaccinated against rabbies (followed by a blood test).

My little muttley is doing his quarantine right now.

You'll also have no problem finding work with your experience and quals....although do not expect to save anything, you'll just earn enough to get by. CZ is getting more and more expensive while teacher's salaries remain static..................it's cheaper to buy half a chicken than a tin of dog food these days.

Don't forget pronunciation and vocabulary reform, dude! In future, people will "vacation" in "MAS-cow" or "BAG-dad!" Cool!
