I'd say it's comparable, but just like here in the US, you will have to search a bit to find the better dentists.
One thing to ask is whether they use the American system of teeth cleaning. The European trained hygienists that I encountered did a cursory job at best. (I could do better at home with floss and my toothbrush...)
Just ask around...

| My students used to go to Bahrain for dental care because it was cheaper. Is this true? Or did they have another reason for going? |
