Hi. I'm planning to arrive with a friend in HK late next month. My friend is an experienced teacher with a one-year contract in place. I have a college diploma and a TEFL certificate, but next to no experience. I have been applying for jobs online and I've received a couple of "come see us when you're in HK" responses, but no offers. Recently, I sopke with a HK recruiter here in Canada. He said that I would qualify for a job he had available, except that he didn't think that a college diploma would work in place of a university degree. Does anyone have any information about this? Also, does anyone have any suggestions about companies or institutions to conctact in HK once I arrive, or any other work options for Native English Speakers other than teaching English?

Bars, clubs, hotels or radio stations might be happy to meet with you. Depending on your experiences and credentials, corporate could be as well� it's like any other counrty in the world yes?
