Hi there fellow members. Just discovered this forum and I'm hoping
that some of you will be able to help me out with a few questions.

About me:
- Just got my Trinity cert. in the UK.
- No teaching experience yet.
- Off to Spain in early Sept. Want to try Oviedo first but maybe take
a train to Madrid if nothing works out there.
- Basic Spanish only but a real desire to settle and absorb more.
- Have already posted CV with a covering letter and small colour
photo off to about 25 schools in Oviedo. Going to follow them up on
arrival.

I have just a few questions:

1. Do most schools have access to net for helping with lesson planning?
2. How smartly do I need to dress as a teacher over there? (My
existing wardrobe is 90% jeans and t-shirts!)
3. Have any of you taught or heard about the tefl scene in Oviedo?
4. Can any of you suggest cheapish short-term accomodation in Oviedo/Madrid?

Any help would be much appreciated. I'm sure I'll have lots more
questions before I leave! Thanks...

Peter. Smile

1. Should do, if not there are internet cafes
2. Start smart, then dress down later: shoes, shirts and tie - dont need a suit
3. Have a mate up there, wages lower, life cheaper. Much harder to find work
4. Loads of hostels, just buy a copy of Lonely Planet and call: 15 euros/night quite possible.
