tesol1,

Just went to your site. Thanks for the link.

Questions: Who is/was William Brewster and what is/was his connection to TEFL? And are you Ernest Woodford?

Hi Tom,

I did an online TEFL course with Bridge Linguatec last year, and I am very pleased with it. Their curriculum is really good, the tutors always give u helpful insights and comments. I compared it with other online TEFL courses, and theirs has got more topics covered. If you're in Hongkong, u might be interested to join their onsite TEFL training course in Fuzhou, China in September. For more details, I suggest you email Ms Donna [email protected].

And yes, they are accredited!

Does anyone have any advice on the combined distance/onsite courses? It seems it will be impossible for me to obtain my certification with a CELTA before the hiring season in Poland is over. Thus, the combined distance/onsite seems like a good option. Plus, I like the idea of having a week or 2 onsite, and getting the additional practice in front of a classroom. But I am wary of the accreditation trap, as well as the fact that such a certificate might not be accepted. Any word on any good programs? The only one I've run across is Intesol's thus far. Do they have a reputable program?

Thanks to anyone that can help.
