|
|
As I will be in BA on the 8th next month
I have arranged a drink with Vertitas,Sneilz,
Matt and I thought... lets all meet up together
lets put some faces to the names so to speak.
I reckon we could have a Argentina ESL forum
pint somewhere in town and we can all get to
know each other... everyone is invited... so
who wants to come?
Put your name down and we will arrange a date...
cheers!!! |

Yeah... we'll arrange a time to suit everyone. As well as a venue, no pressure here, just come as you are and we will have a
laugh... guaranteed!!!
Veritas there is a show in Martinez on the 20th of August
according to boxrec.com but there should be some decent
shows, one with a title fight appearing soon. So I will look
out for any shows in Luna Park or estadio FAB. The one on the
20th of August is a card with prospects and a 10 round light
heavyweight fight. |

Too bad I won't be in BsAs until the first or second week of September so I hope you guys decide to meet up again for some drinks. It'd be nice to meet everyone. It's a shame Moonraven won't be able to join you! |

I might be up for that, too. I have been waiting in anticipation to meet Carlos. Just to through something out there, I recommend Acabar on Honduras street in Palermo. It is nice, full of young people, cheap, great food, but more a restaurant than a bar. I am not set on this, only putting it out there. Also, when weighing my recommendation, you should know that I am a huge dork with no social skills or wit. Now if youll excuse me, my mommy is calling...
One question, if we all meet each other, will the forum go dead? What more will there be to say that we cant just call one another about. I dont really respond online to the people I have meet from here any more. Maybe we should all arrange to be different nicknames. For instance, I am going to adamantly claim to be Gareth2000...or Moonraven. I cant decide... |

No No No...let me be moonraven...i've been arguing with that old harridan since you lot were in nappies...
I'd like to suggest Milion. www.milion.com.ar My favourite bar for a quiet, chilled out coctail or 20...it's in a huge old French style mansion in the centre/Barrio Norte...very nice and not nearly as poncey and pretentious as it sounds...(unlike Gran Bar Danzon where it's a suprise the beautiful people can fit their big heads through the door...) |

C'mon now. Don't leave poor Johnny, El Nota, myself and anyone else arriving in September out in the cold after text messages and voicemails replace postings on this forum. I'll even wear my Ray Lewis jersey! |

My boyfriend and his amigos went to Acabar last week. He told me that he really liked it a lot, and that we'd have to go there when I got to BsAs.
When I meet up with you guys, I'm not sure who I'll pretend to be. Maybe I'll show up in drag and pretend to be Henry Cowell?
(Read the newest posts in the Gay Civil Union thread if that joke doesn't make sense.) |

Yo,
This Sunday is out for me as I am teaching some English lessons that night (the price you pay for not actually working during the week). However, I am up for El Carnal, I suppose. Im down for whatever really.
Viva, I have resisted the urge to buy a cell phone to this point, against all the advice of my friends, so for me this webpage is my only link with the twenty-first century.
Dont listen to Matttheboy about costs, he is spending British pounds. Although, by seniorty I guess he does get to be moonraven.
Who makes the call on this? Is it Carlos? Do we just keep posting hoping a consensus is reached in before it is too late and we have to wait until September? Europeans, help me out. In the US, the Republican posters would just strong-arm some restaurant through the forum while silencing all minorities, non-whites, or otherwise dissenting opinions. How do Europeans make sense out of endless negotiating and beaurocracy?? |
