Anyone here have any info on which schools might be hiring lecturers/professors for ELT/Applied Linguistics Dpts this Fall?

To be employed as a professor in HK you will need at least a PhD and a substantial (peer-reviewed) publication record in the relevant field. The term is not bandied around here as it in some other locations.

As regards lecturer posts, for some of the institutions above a PhD is required, for others only a standard, post-graduate degree is needed, such as an MA or MSc. All institutions in HK place great emphasis on both academic and professional training however, and so you will also require a down-to-earth classroom qualification, such as a PGCE or a TEFL certificate.
