				| Sorry to bother people with this, but I seem to get a better response on this forum than on the LP one.
Can anyone tell me if I would have to get a reservation to stay in a hostel in mid August? (Barcelona - la rambla district)

Should I book something or risk it?

 Thanks for your help.

 peace

				| Youll need to book. If you cant find anything else you can always go to the "Kabul" hostel on Plaza Real: if you get there at 9:00 they do a first-come first-served arrangement. Its a bit inpersonal, huge and full of transient backpackers, but its clean and secure and right in the middle of the old quarter and its somewhere to put your bag and have a snooze until you can find a longer term hostel. If I were you Id buy "Lonely Planet - Spain" and call/email something out of that. | |

				| Thanks. I'll do that. Got the book, but it's a bit old. Prices are still in pesetas.

 Cheers

				| I can recommend this one - http://www.youthostel-barcelona.com/home_page_eng.htm It's just off Las Ramblas, new, clean and not expensive (although that was two years ago!).
But do book in advance! I booked with this one over the internet.
