The Gilbralter in San Telmo?? 2 beers from the tap for $7pesos before 10pm..... After that, a pint is about $5 - $6pesos each. It's a pretty chilled out, non-pretentious pub. Plus there's a handful of bars / clubs / discos in the area if we want a change of scenery. |

i'm up for going out but i prefer to go along for the ride rather than picking a place and worrying about whether or not everyone is having a good time. i'm happy as long as i'm with buena gente... and i know a handful of others who post here sometimes that i may be able to bring along...
if anyone finds someone who can get us cheap apartments in pesos, BRING THEM ALONG. i'd be happy to buy their drinks all night... |

Can we make sure its after 5 on Monday? The EBC August class is supposed to meet for a tour at 3:30, which is to last until 4:45. If no one is averse, I could see if some of them want to come along. Most of them are probably new here like me. Let me know. |

C'mon now. Don't leave poor Johnny, El Nota, myself and anyone else arriving in September out in the cold after text messages and voicemails replace postings on this forum. I'll even wear my Ray Lewis jersey! |
I'll be there! No wait. I'm stuck in California for now. Damn. Pour a little malt liquor out for a lost homey... I'll be there soon (Sept 29th)!
I hope everybody likes each other... portate bien!... so we can do this again when Barca, Jonny the Man's man, and I can all join in.
hasta pronto,
Darin |

Jonny the Mann's man! That was a classic.
(Actually, I probably wouldn't bring my bf to a Dave's get-together. I think I'd want my own little English world.) |

I'm going to throw out a place and time if no one has any objections to it. It doesn't really matter to me, but I figure that a decision should be made soon. So, how about Acabar - 5733 Honduras, around 8:30 Tuesday night (Aug 9th)?

Palermo Hollywood on Honduras between bonpland and carranza. Get the subte to Palermo (or a bus and get off as the bus approaches the railway bridge next to Palermo subte. Don't know what buses pass directly by the place) and then it's a 10 minute walk. If you haven't got a map yet then get a Guia T from a newstand or from someone selling on the subte-2pesos.
4 x litre bottles of beer cost around 24 pesos including tip so not dirt cheap but not very expensive. |
