hey guys! don't have much time...but
I'm looking for the new Panasonic FZ30...(apparently it was launched late July).
It's nowhere to be seen at Yodobashi Camera, Bic, Naniwa here in Osaka. Is it in Tokyo yet?
---------
while I'm here, what digital cameras would you recommend! Cheers |

Why not contact Panasonic and ask which retailers are carrying it currently? |

We JUST bought: Sony DSC-H1 Cyber-Shot (super sure shot) digital. It was around $430. What's your price range--that makes a big differnece on recommendations.
With that said...we like this one a lot, but mainly b/c we prefer having something in our hands that's a little bigger than the ones you have to use your pinkies with. Most people perfer the tiny versions...thus the vast choice out there.
Go onto Sony's webpage and under cameras you'll find this one. It shows several pics of it from every view. I guess what we like about it is: the sharp pictures it produces, the larger screen and the easy-easy shooting format (and yet it has complicated versions to it, if you want to do things manually).
Hope you find what you need/want.

thanks.. i have thought of that. Well, yesterday I didn't have much time.. on the net at least.
On top of that, it seems to be really damn difficult to get Panasonic by email.
Also, there was a phone number in Japan, but (i wish i could but) I can't speak Japanese |

cool DRDO!
yeah, that's sort of in my top 3! I have 'sampled' that one at the various stores around town!
Price-range..: yeah, I want something 'decent'! so.. I could spend about ¥60000 . I want something with some quality to it.. and , yeah, the Sony H1 for sure I'm thinking about.
I want to maybe wait for the Panasonic FZ30 to come out. Hopefully it won't be too long. It seems to already be out in some places, or , at least, I know some people out there have them...
I also am not into the miniature things!
thanks for the info ! |

Hey,
My brother just bought the new Sony T7 Cybershot, the really thin one (8mm) its incredible. He got it at the Sony building in Ginza about 480$can including a 32 and 256 meg memory card.
If anyone is looking at cameras, you should defiantly check this out..its the size of a credit card (well almost)..simply amazing.
PS. I don't work for Sony |

Asked the wife who is the mad camera person.
her comments:
Not a camera that is forgiving of the amatuer
Prefers Canon and Nikon over SONY because sony locks you into using their own more expensive memory sticks etc
If you buy here be aware of warranty issues, ie not worldwide and getting an English language manual. |

cool, I'm getting the old Pentax repaired as we speak. Waiting for the new Panasonic to come out shortly. Not 100%... but pretty sure I'm getting that one! |
