Teachers are dispensible to most schools. Luckily for us there are plenty of schools so schools are more dispensible to teachers than teachers are to schools!

By the way, working out overtime on most TEFL contracts is a complicated business. If you thought it was easy you were probably doing it wrong.

Just respect others and don't cloud peoples judgement. Experience a few other schools and places if you decide to stay in TEFL and then see if you think it was all so bad.

Actually the calculation was as follows:

15zl hr for testing and 30zl for teaching. What a complicated business??

When the post was written I had worked for another 3 different schools after BELL.

4 years later I still stand by what I said.

I had the same experience in another school in another town, and I honestly don't think it's an isolated incident. That being said, I refuse to back down on stuff I know I"m right on, one of those is how teachers are treated... as a NS, I was also sacked for 'asking too many questions' about what the management were up to... that school was AKADEMIA in Lodz. I know though from friends, that it's not just them, which is why Polish teachers put up with so much, they know they're dispensible.

Stinks in all honesty. But I still love working and living in Poland.
