Hi, Gareth, congrats on the job offer! I don't know your exact situation so take my advice with a grain of salt.

If I had just arrived in BsAs, I'd take this job offer for the following reasons:

1. It would get my foot in the door of the EFL market in BsAs.

2. It's local experience that future BsAs employers can easily call for a reference (as oppossed to some hagwon in South Korea).

3. It's concrete EFL experience to add to your resume.

4. You get paid at the end of each day in cash.

5. Lunch Included.

6. It might not pay as much per hour as private students, but it's a guaranteed source of cash flowing into your pocket. Your savings will last longer.

7. It will provide you with some stability, regularity, and responsibility. I personally feel that something very important for people to have when establishing themselves in a new country.

8. No personal resources required.

9. No prep work done outside of hours.

10. It's a chance to meet English-learning Argentines. Maybe some of them will want to become private students of yours in the future? And they'll introduce you to their friends who also want English tutoring ...

11. Chance to meet people and make connections for future jobs.

12. This company might love you and want to hire you again. They might give you even more work and/or a pay raise! Laughing

13. The commitment is only thru November. If you don't like it, you're just working for 4 months anyway.

14. Place sounds friendly, relaxed, & casual. Those seem like great bonuses.

Other people with BsAs and EFL experience will have better advice for you, but this is what I could think of off the top of my head. I say, go for it. You've got nothing to lose, right?
