Hi All,
I've been searching around for a TEFL course and wondering if anyone has taken the Cactus CELTA in Bogota or any other courses in Latin America? My first choices would be to work in El Salvador or Colombia but really I'm open to working in any Spanish speaking country. I've been doing a lot of reading around on-line and it's hard to get an idea of the current situation in either country. It would be great to start contacting schools now, but the contact information I've been running in to seems to be old news. As for myself: I'm a 27-year-old female from the U.S. I have a few years experience tutoring ESL students and teaching classrooms - mostly in environmental ed. I'm still a year away from my B.A. which I don't plan to finish up anytime soon. I really enjoy tutoring and am willing to invest in a TEFL certificate to check this all out. I'm fluent in Spanish and ASL. Well, I think I've managed to answer all the generic questions that are normally asked. I'd love to hear about anyone's experience taking a course or working in that area!

When are you thinking about coming? I know a great TESOL cert program, starting next year in Ecuador...

Okay, I'm not unbiased, but it is a good program!
