Anyone else interested in getting together for trips etc in chile in your spare time?

I live in england but will be in chile from nov till march then back in uk for 2 -3 months and back to chile for another 4 months..doing this for a year or more till i finally go back to chile for good with my family.

The problem I have is that having grown up in the U.K and earn my money here means I earn more than my relatives back in chile, not rich by any means but I can afford to go to the ski resorts , hire cars , travel about etc and my relatives cant as they have to work all the time as well as the fact they would not accept me paying for them etc.

So unless I go with my folks or my sister I have to do it alone. Which in a country like chile with all it has to offer , well it ruins it in a way.

I am new to this forum and did not know so many "gringos" liked chile. I am fluent in both english and castellano (spanish) .

if there are ppl interested in meeting up and taking trips etc in chile and doing more than just drinking coffee etc id be happy to meet up etc.

its a given that this invite is not extended to crazy killer types or anyone who worshipes the dark prince etc

It didnt sound stalker-ish to me. Im definitely interested in traveling around and meeting people, but Im no longer in Santiago. If you come down to Concepcion, let me know.

Thought ppl may see it as stalkish as lots of views but no responses.

Last time in Chile I took the train down south but got off at Temuco and did not bother with the change to Concepcion. But I will def go there this time.

Im in Chile nov to march so hopefully we can arrange something. I might get a car this time as the train was very nice but 9 hrs is pushing it.

I like to travel about too and get along with anyone as long as they dont want my kidneys.

Hey Tiolee!

I should be in Santiago for a week in October... are you still going to be around? Let me know..... but it'll be my first time in Chile, and during the week I was planning on taking some tours or something, which you are free to come. Let me know. During the weekend, I'll be visiting with a friend from Valparaiso....

Chao!

hi

I am going to be in Chile from nov to march.

Are you only doing 1 week?. If your coming back Ill be there. I will be going to valpo too as my cousin studies at the uni there.

I beenm thinking of what to do trip etc wise and I will be doing the following if you or anyone else is interested.

ARICA - by plane from Santiago (23 hrs on the bus would kill me)
work my way back thru san pedro de atacama, visit some of the old ghost towns in the desert, see the salt lakes.

work my way down after that more or less taking it as it comes. see what is available to see and eventually get back to santiago.

Im want to try skiing and after watching a program on tv snowboarding, prob end up bruised and sore but willing. I am not the kind that needs luxury hotels and am just as happy in a tent. Though luxury hotels in the UAE are fine if you go there. Laughing

I am planning to go to argentina to visit some ppl and go down south to punta arenas, see some glaciers etc.

I did a lot of the lakes last year but wanna climb a volcano.

Hot springs etc.

If anyone has other idea etc I am open to almost anything.

I am NOT a club person, did that when I was in my twenties and all the vice and debauchery that went with it. I dont drink or do any drugs, ( damn near killed myself, again in my youth in the uk when acid and smiley faces was a fun thing Laughing )

Speak fluent spanish and english ( english, english - the real one).

So if anyone is up for fun and travel without ending up in jail..im free.

I think you will miss the snowboarding season, but if theres still any snow around then, Im always looking for folks to go with. Im planning a trip to Pucon in September.

Pure homemade black, own kind, and regular beer made using German Secrets.
