Foreign laborers complaint center at the airport

The Council of Labor Affairs (CLA) announced yesterday that it will soon set up a service center at Chiang Kai-shek International Airport to handle complaints by foreign laborers.
The announcement comes in the wake of criticism from a labor organization in the Philippines that a Taiwan factory had condoned its security guards using force against four Filipino laborers who organized a strike to protest against the management's unreasonable wage cuts. The laborers were then deported. |
Unfortunately this center will not have the authority to overturn illegal, non judicial deportations by the occupational government on Taiwan.
