I just received an email from a Dan from Shenzhen Island Language Training Center. Its a recruitment agency. At the end of his email he signed out as Dr Stepel. He is claiming to be American, but in his emails there seems to be quite a few errors. Yes we all make mistakes but I get the feeling, the person who is writing these emails is Chinese. Anyhow has anyone heard about Shenzhen Island Language Training Center, Dan or Dr Stepel? Are they good or bad? Is the company for real or are they bogus? Do they have a good track record? any info would be appreciated.

A CHinese passing himself off under the assumed name of "Stepel" is quite worrying; no American owns such a business in Shenzhen. The only reputable or semi-reputable businesses in Shenzhen that hire FTs have names that you might be familiar with from back home, and there aren't many to go around any way!

You should be triply careful about getting hired in SHENZHEN of all places by a RECRUITER who passes you off to local takers. Shenzhen is not the place that needs go-betweens!

OK first off you should NEVER use anyones last name on here to do so shows a lack of brains.
As for the man in Question I know him. I can assure you he is an American and he his a PhD although I have never known him to use the title as a personal introduction.

What I know of him is that he is a good man trying to do his best. He use to work with a Chinese company that was lets say less then above board in its business dealings He up and left one day just packed his things and went home. It was not over any monies owed him it was that he saw the company was about to fall and it did.
I can not comment on this Shenzhen Island as this is the first time I have heard of it but I would ask Dan to Call you He is From New York City and you will be able to tell so right off by the way he TWALKS. If indeed it is him he is a fare man
.
Although mistakes in an e-mail does not sound like him but whose to say.

If a recruiter uses his tittle and his nationality to insure you that they are legit..then a potential employer has every right to check on this person by any means possible..and in this case .naming names.. seems it worked.
