|
|
Hi, just need a little advice.
My 3 year visa (with multiple re-entry permit) expires May, 2004. I came home to Canada the first week of April. I had a new job lined up in Japan, but things kind of fell apart. Also, my father had become seriously ill. So I decided to stick around home for awhile.
When I left Japan I retained my Gaijin card, and marked the reason for going to Canada as "to see sick parent."
Now I have a new job lined up to begin at the end of this month. This means I will have been out of Japan for almost 4 months. Do you think I will have any trouble re-entering after such a period of time? |

If you have a vild working visa and re-entry permit as you state then you should be fine.
If they ask why you were gone for so long, tell them. |

Don't worry about it.
They most likely(99% sure) won't ask you any questions.
Hope your Dad is ok now.
Cheers. |

Howdy,
I was out of the country for over a year at one point on a three year work visa. When I came back they didn't even bat an eye. So long as everything you have (visa, re-entry permit and gaijin card) is still valid you should have no problems.
Cheers,
