Air Madrid, they had long queues at Barajas the other day. Overbooking you might say? |

Make sure you suss them out completely before flying with them. There were queues in Barajas airport for flight to most cities in south america. People were waiting 3, 4 days for their flights , it was all over the news.
Cheers,

You actually don't have to be a student (or pretend to be a student) to get deals through STA Travel..You just have to be under 25. They issue you a youth card, just like the ISIC, and you are eligible for the student discount. I flew from LA in June for about $900 round trip and the return flight is flexible for a year. AND, like Michelle said, you can add stopovers without extra cost. Woohoo, Costa Rica But I would rather pay $600 and not get that feature...I never saw a deal like that when I was looking for my tickets. Ah, well. Congrats to those who did!

I looked into this, it's interesting and it just shows you that being a student has advantages.

If you can swing a student fare (i.e. have an e-mail address with .edu, have an ISIC card/expired university ID, or can just con your way into it) try www.studentuniverse.com or www.statravel.com. I've seen really good fares for all over Latin America through both of these sites. |
