One thing I never understand..
If someone really wants to live AND WORK in Oregon for example.. and sure the economy isn't as great and you won't get paid as much as NYC for example.. but you'd never ever hear of them saying well, I'm going to live AND WORK in New York City for a year or so to realize my goal of living AND WORKING in Oregon. I don't want to do it.. and I'd love to live AND WORK in Oregon.. but oh, well, New York here I come!
Yet, for some strange reason, this reasing happens all the time in Asia. |

After six months in Korea I was seriously considering re-signing with my hagwon. After seven months I was wondering if it would be possible to finish my contract. In the end I made it by the skin of my teeth. However, after I finished in Korea I travelled through South East Asia before I started teaching in China. My year in China was the best of my life only because of the money I had saved from my time in Korea. I am now home in Canada and paid my B.Ed tuition with my Korean savings. So looking back my time in Korea was worth it because it helped me do what I wanted to do after. If your hard you made the right choice. Thailand will be much sweeter after Korea. |
