Can anyone comment on whether ACTDEC accreditation is well regarded in relation to introductory certificate courses? |

hi mungo
My hunch is that most people will not be too familiar with this organization
since Distance TESOL certs have popped up over the past few years as sort of a 'new' phenomenon.
ACTDEC is based in the UK http://www.actdec.org.uk/ and offers accreditation for Distance TESOL course providers.
In my humble opinion, they don't enjoy the same recognition as Cambridge, Trinity or a government MOE, but ...
having ACTDEC accreditation is definitely better than taking an online course with no accreditation at all.

Hello Kent,
Thanks for the information.
Distance learning looks to be the only viable option for me along with some volunteer teaching (I hope to organise).
Canberra is not called the "bush capital" for nothing. |
