I was just perusing the english time website when I came across this advice from ET to potential students for its language mill in London:
Yes. We strongly recommend that you seek employment only with those employers who work within the National Insurance framework. This will also give you sickness and holiday rights.
You can't make this stuff up. Irony or what?
If you want to check for yourself:

It does indeed write that ... I agree ... that is rather hypocritical of them. |

I love the way they shoot themselves in the foot and are unable to even attempt to justify the hypocrosy. |

that is the UK and this is Turkey. Other than that, I don't have anything else to say that I haven't said before. |

Come on... we all know.. unless you are very new to this type of "employment".. what these places are all about. As I have said before, the only things good about these places are some of the teachers and most of the students. They are all about making money and exploiting the exploitable to the fullist. Luckily for most of us that read this forum, we have some idea of the worst ones to avoid. Maybe one day there will be descent and honest language centers to work at, but I don't think so anytime in the near future. Turkey is as corrupt as most of these "bucket shops" are. |

Bucket shop
A trading operation on or beyond the fringe of conventional business practice. Once anyone selling at a discount was said to be running a bucket shop. |

And i thank you for thanking me.
Maybe you are tired of the big city and ET. I know of a new school opening up in Eski and they are looking for a DOS to open it up. With your experience and qualifications I'm sure you'd get it.
pm if you are interested and I'll send you contact info. |

Don't say I didn't try to help.
Ok here's another one for you. A certain university is looking for a Theatre English Teacher(p/t only) What do reckon that involves. You need experience in it. What is the relevant experience? I dont know to be honest. |
