Hi Mohammad, I don't know anything specific about EF in KSA. but they are a franchise school who are just about everywhere. The pay is not good, the materials they use are their own(and I hear not great) I base this on EF here in Turkey. I'm sure if I am wrong others will correct me. I am guessing it is one of the lowest paid jobs in KSA.

Hi dmb, thanks for your comments, you are most probably right in what you say, let's wait and see what anyone else has to say about this outfit.

Keep away from this institute as it's one of the worst if not the worst place to work as a TEFL teacher in KSA. I worked there, they have the lowest pay in KSA, the pay is always late and they'll deal with you like they own you. They'll make you come on thursdays, just to sit around. When you finish your contract, they'll make you beg for your dues. They won't give you a letter of no objection. This means you won't be able to come back to Saudi for two years for employment. They have nine months contract so you won't get any gratuity pay.

John2005,

Many thanks for your comments. A friend of mine, who worked for them, didn't have much good to say about them either.

Regards,

Mohammad

The length of the contract is irrelevant as far as the rignt to End of Service Benefit is concerned. You are entitled to it even if you only work one day.

The problem is that it costs SR3,000 - SR4,ooo to get a lawyer to take it to court for you, and if you work less than a year that is most of the gratuity you are entitled to. If there are two of you then you can split the cost of the lawyer and it becomes worthwhile.
