Can anyone sum up in a media freindly sound-bite.....what's Taiwan like?

More specifically, in terms of ability to earn and save money I was recommended Taiwan as a good option.
What's the money like for a teacher with CELTA, degree and 2 years experience?
Also what's the cost of living like?
